A row of vintage barber chairs in an old-fashioned barbershop, treated in the ChairSlay hot-and-ink duotone.

For the pros who rent their own chair, booth, or suite

Booking and payments.
Nobody takes a 30% cut of the clients you brought in.

ChairSlay is booking and payments for independent beauty pros. Your money runs through your own Stripe or Square and lands straight in your account. We never hold it or take a cut of your work.

your work

Built for how you actually work.

Your book, your prices, your money, your rules. A tool that bends to your business — not the other way around.

  1. Per client

Per-client rates, and nobody sees anybody else's.

Maria books full price. Your regular books their rate, not a “discount,” just their number. Both book the right one; neither sees the other's. You set price and time per client, quietly, and it's included. No add-on tier. (Other booking software locks this behind a $150+/mo-per-location plan.)

  2. For colorists

Double-book the processing window without the overrun.

While a color processes (40 minutes in foils), you're free. ChairSlay stacks a cut into that window and protects both appointments: the color gets to the bowl on time, and the cut never runs over. Everyone else hides this behind their priciest tier. Here it's just how it works.

  3. No-shows

A no-show costs them, not you.

A deposit up front and a card on file on every booking. Set it per service or per client. Require it from a new booking, skip it for a regular. So when someone books a three-hour set and ghosts, your afternoon doesn't go with them.

  4. Zero take

We never take a cut of your work.

No 30% new-client fee, no cut of your sales — ever. Just your card's standard rate (~2.9% + 30¢), same as anywhere, straight to your own Stripe or Square. No payout holds; refunds in one click.

  5. Ownership

Your book is yours. Your booking link is yours.

One-click export of the whole book: contacts, notes, photos, color formulas, cut notes, treatment notes, whatever you keep. Your booking link lives on chairslay.com and keeps forwarding even after you cancel. It's yours, not ours.

  6. Locations

    Two locations? One schedule.

Work out of more than one space? Add both as locations. ChairSlay holds a travel buffer between them so you can't get booked across town with no time to get there, and shows clients which location they're booking. Built for pros who split their week across more than one space.

per client

Maria gets a price. Jordan gets a different price. Neither sees the other's.

ChairSlay keeps a private price and time on every client — set per client, kept on their client record, never shown on your public booking page. Maria pays your list price for the same service Jordan books. Jordan, a regular for years, has their own rate for it. Both book at the right number, and neither one knows the other's exists.

Set a price once and it sticks: your standard rate, a held rate for a regular, or a one-off on a single booking. Same handful of settings whether you're holding a regular at their rate, taking a deposit from someone who's flaked before, or setting a first-visit rate for new clients.

Other booking software charges $150+/mo for the tier that unlocks per-client custom pricing. Here it's just included in ChairSlay Pro.

for colorists

Color's processing. You're free. Book the gap.

Every other scheduler treats one appointment as a single solid block. So the second your color goes into processing, your booking page reads "booked" even though you're wide open. ChairSlay knows the work has phases: busy while you foil, open while it processes, busy again at the bowl.

During that processing window, your booking page can hand the gap to another client: a 30-minute cut while the color develops, with no chance of either one running long. You decide which services can fill a gap and which can't. That's stacking, built in.

Most schedulers lock this behind their top tier, if they offer it at all. Colorists have been asking the big platforms for it.

no flakes

A no-show shouldn't cost you the afternoon.

A three-hour lash set, a full acrylic set, a balayage you blocked half the day for, a facial you prepped the room for — when a client books and ghosts, that's hours you can't get back. ChairSlay takes a deposit up front and keeps a card on file, so a no-show gets charged on a policy you set. It costs them, not you.

Set a deposit and policy on each service, then override it for any client: a bigger hold for the chronic canceller, none for the regular who never misses. Then rebook them before they leave, so the next visit is already on the books.

yours forever

chairslay.com/your-handle is yours. Even if you leave.

Your booking link is short and it's on the main site: chairslay.com/your-handle, not some throwaway address that breaks the day you cancel.

And here's the deal: once you've been a paying member for a year, that link is yours to keep. Cancel five years from now, point us at your new site, your Instagram, your business-card link, and chairslay.com/your-handle keeps sending clients there, for as long as we run chairslay.com.*

* This kicks in after your first full paid year (12 monthly payments or one annual payment). If you only trial ChairSlay, or cancel before that first year is up, it doesn't apply. 90 days after you stop paying, your link opens back up for another pro to claim.

★ your link, your clients

Most booking tools trap your link the second you cancel. Your clients tap it, hit a dead page, and the ones you don't catch quietly drift off while you scramble to send out a new one.

That's how a book leaks without you noticing. We don't play that game. Keeping your link alive is how we keep your clients yours.

Questions you'd actually ask.

Is ChairSlay really 0%? No fees at all?
Yes. Zero fee from us on every appointment. Payments run through your own Stripe or Square account, so the money lands straight in your bank, never ours. The only money out of a booking is the standard rate your card processor charges (about 2.9% + 30¢ when a client pays online, the same rate you'd pay them anywhere). We never take a cut of your work: not on new clients, not on tips, not ever, the way some booking apps do. Our subscription is the only thing you pay us: a flat monthly fee, never a slice of what you earn.
Will my first-chair rate ever go up?
No. The $24/mo first-chair rate is locked for as long as you stay subscribed. If the regular price goes up later, yours stays $24. Only the first 100 pros to subscribe get the first-chair rate; everyone after pays the regular price ($39/mo today). No hidden tiers, no per-booking fees that kick in once you're busy, no expiring-promo emails. The price you sign up at is the price.
Do my clients need to download an app or create an account to book?
No. Your client taps your link, sees your real-time availability, picks a service and a time, enters their card, and they're booked, all in their browser, all in under a minute. No app, no account, no password. They get a confirmation email and (optional) text reminders. When they come back to rebook, the same flow works just as fast.
What happens to my client list and history if I leave ChairSlay?
You can export everything anytime, free: names, contact info, your private notes, service history, and the color formulas and photos you've saved on each client. It comes out as a spreadsheet, plus a calendar file any other scheduler can open. No upgrade, no waiting period, no support ticket. It's yours from day one. And your booking link (chairslay.com/your-handle) keeps working even after you leave: once you've paid for a full year, point it at your new site or IG and it forwards there for good. One honest catch: if you only trial ChairSlay or cancel before that first year, another pro can claim the link 90 days after you stop paying. Your clients are yours, full stop. Leaving is one click whenever you want.
Stripe or Square: does it matter which one I use?
Either works. Your clients pay right on your page either way, no jumping to another site. On your side, pick whichever account you already have; connecting your Stripe or Square takes about two minutes, and you can switch later anytime. The only real difference is each one's own fees, which they bill you directly, not us.
I'm a booth renter, suite renter, or salon employee. Is ChairSlay for me?
ChairSlay is built for pros who rent their own chair, booth, or suite. You set your own prices, own your client list, and keep all the money you make. Booth renters and suite renters are exactly who we built this for. If you're a salon employee on a W-2, with your schedule and prices set by the owner, ChairSlay isn't the right fit yet. Your salon's system already handles bookings and pay. And if you're in between (apprentice going indie, planning to rent a chair soon), drop your email on the waitlist.
