Home Studios & Suites
operators, soon
The operator product is in development.
ChairSlay Pro launches first — booking and payments for independent beauty pros. The operator side, for the salons and salon-suite properties that lease chairs and rooms to those pros, is what we're building next. Here's what's coming, why we're building it, and how to get on the list.
What's coming
Two operator products. One underlying platform.
booth-rental studios
For studios that rent chairs.
- ACH rent collection + dunning + late-fee rule engine
- Compliance vault — license, COI, W-9 captured at lease activation with expiry nudges
- Sublet workflow with auto-routed rent splits
- 1099-NEC packet auto-generated each January from tagged payment history
- Three-zone privacy — admin sees occupancy, never client lists
- Multi-location rent roll + consolidated P&L
salon-suite properties
For property operators with suites.
- Per-suite licensure tracking (PA/NJ-regulated states + others)
- Three-layer insurance tracking — property + tenant + general liability
- 1099-MISC Box 1 (rents) reporting, generated at year-end
- Directory-style booking — one URL per property, suites underneath
- Same payment plumbing as the booth-rental side
Why we're building it
Rental was underbuilt for too long.
Booth rental and salon-suite operations have been underserved by salon software. The dominant booking tools — Boulevard, Vagaro, GlossGenius, Booksy — were built for commission salons, where the business owns the calendar and the clients. Booth rental and suite rental flip the data model: the pro owns the calendar and the client list; the operator owns the building.
ChairSlay is being built from the rental side first. The pro tool shipping in 2026 enforces the privacy line by code — clients belong to the pro, not the operator. The operator product extends the same architecture upward, with rent collection, compliance tracking, and tax reporting that respects the boundary instead of erasing it.
How it'll help you
What January will feel like.
for studios
Stop chasing rent on Venmo. Stop reconstructing 1099s from transaction reports in January. Stop wondering whether your compliance docs are current. The operator dashboard shows you who's late, what's expiring, and what's owed — without ever crossing into the stylists' books.
for suite properties
A single tool for rent collection across every suite, structured tenancy data that survives an auditor, and a property booking surface that doesn't pretend to know what your tenants are doing in their suites.
