Yours-Forever Handle
Effective May 29, 2026 · Last reviewed May 29, 2026
When you pick a handle on ChairSlay Pro, your booking URL is chairslay.com/your-handle. It lives on the apex — on the brand — not on a sub-app subdomain that dies when you cancel.
This page is the commitment behind that promise.
The promise
After a year of paid subscription, chairslay.com/your-handle is yours indefinitely. Cancel five years from now, point us at your new site, your Instagram bio link, a business-card landing page, your phone number — and we’ll forward there for as long as ChairSlay operates the chairslay.com domain.
How the year-paid threshold works
- Activates after 12 consecutive monthly charges or 1 annual charge on ChairSlay Pro.
- Doesn’t activate for trial cancellations or short-term cancellations. If your active period was less than a year, the handle releases back to the handle pool 90 days after your active period ends, and another pro can claim it.
- Continuous subscription means no gap of more than 30 days. A failed payment that’s resolved within 30 days doesn’t reset the count; a longer gap does.
What you can forward to
Any URL you control. Common destinations:
- Your new booking tool on someone else’s platform.
- Your own website.
- Your Instagram bio or LinkTree.
- A simple business-card landing page.
You can update the destination self-serve, any time, from the cancellation flow or by emailing legal@chairslay.com. We don’t approve or vet the destination — that’s your choice. We will refuse to forward to URLs that violate the Acceptable Use Policy (e.g., malware distribution, content that infringes third-party IP) or are illegal in the US.
The “as long as ChairSlay operates chairslay.com” qualifier
ChairSlay can keep this promise as long as we own and operate the chairslay.com domain. If Foocorp ever sells the domain, gets acquired, or shuts down:
- Acquirer obligation. Any acquirer of Foocorp or its
chairslay.comassets must, as a condition of the sale, either (a) continue honoring this forwarding obligation for grandfathered handles, or (b) give 12 months’ notice and a final export option to every affected pro before discontinuing forwarding. - Shutdown notice. If we ever decide to discontinue ChairSlay entirely, we’ll give all grandfathered pros 12 months’ notice and a final chance to communicate the change to their clients.
What this isn’t
- Not a domain transfer. You don’t own
chairslay.com/your-handleas a separate property. We host the redirect. The promise is operational, not deeded. - Not a guarantee of indefinite Service. We may discontinue the booking product, the calendar product, or any other feature without affecting the forwarding obligation. The forwarding lives at the static-redirect layer; it survives independently of any feature being live.
- Not a refund of past subscription. Hitting the year-paid threshold doesn’t entitle you to a refund of your subscription. The threshold gates a forward-looking commitment.
What we retain to honor this
To run the forwarding indefinitely, we keep three fields per grandfathered handle: the handle itself, the current forwarding destination URL, and a contact email so we can reach you about forwarding changes. Nothing about your past clients, your bookings, or your business operations. The rest of your data is deleted per the standard schedule in the Privacy Policy §7.
