Cancellation Policy

How to cancel
From settings, any time. There’s no “talk to support” requirement, no retention call, no cancellation form to fill out.
Email legal@chairslay.com if you can’t find the option in settings — we’ll cancel for you within one business day and confirm by email.
When cancellation takes effect
Your subscription ends at the end of the current paid month. You keep full access until that date.
We don’t pro-rate or refund the partial month — see the Refund Policy. If that’s a meaningful amount, cancel near your renewal date.
What happens to your data

| Schedule C tax records | Retained for 7 years from the calendar year of each transaction — required for tax-audit support. Exportable any time. |
| Account profile + billing history | Retained for 7 years for tax / accounting compliance. After, deleted. |
| Backups | Purged within 35 days of cancellation. |
| Handle URL forwarding | If you’ve hit the year-paid threshold, your chairslay.com/your-handle stays alive forever — see the Yours-Forever Handle Policy. If you haven’t, the handle releases back to the pool 90 days after your active period ends. |
During the export grace period
You can sign into your account read-only for 30 days after cancellation. You can:
- Export your client list (CSV).
- Export your appointment history (ICS).
- Download all uploaded photos.
- Update the forwarding destination for your handle URL (if you qualify).
- Re-subscribe — your data and settings come back as they were.
You cannot accept new bookings or take new payments during this period.
How to re-subscribe
Within the 30-day grace period: from settings, one click. Your data and configuration come back as they were, billing resumes at the rate for your tier (first-chair if you qualify and the cancellation gap is under 30 days; list otherwise).
After 30 days: you start fresh. We can’t restore deleted data after that point.
